At ThoenWorks LLC, we take immense pride in the craftsmanship of our wood and leather goods. Because our items are handmade from natural materials, each piece carries unique grain patterns, textures, and character. Our natural materials and handcrafted disclaimer is provided below the return and exchange policy. If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help.
1. 30-Day Return Window
You have 30 calendar days from the date you received your item to initiate a return. To be eligible, the item must be:
- In the same condition that you received it.
- Unused, unwashed, and without any signs of wear or conditioning treatments applied.
- In the original packaging.
2. Non-Returnable Items (Exceptions)
To maintain the integrity of our small business, the following items cannot be returned:
- Custom or Personalized Goods: Any item that has been engraved, embossed, or custom-built to your specific dimensions/requests is Final Sale.
- Sale Items: Items purchased from our "Clearance" or "Seconds" section.
- Gift Cards: Digital or physical gift cards are non-refundable.
3. How to Initiate a Return
To start a return, please follow these steps:
- Email us: Send an email to info@thoenworks.com with your Order Number and the reason for the return.
- Approval: Once approved, we will provide you with the return shipping address.
- Packaging: Please securely pack the item in original packaging as your received it (wood can crack and leather can scuff if not padded properly).
- Shipping: The buyer is responsible for paying for return shipping costs. Shipping costs are non-refundable. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing insurance.
4. Restocking Fee
A 15% restocking fee will be applied to all returns due to buyer’s remorse (e.g., changed mind, found a better price). This fee covers the labor and materials used to inspect, sanitize, and repackage handcrafted goods for resale.
5. Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or there is a craftsmanship defect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Please include photos of the item and the packaging.
- If the damage is verified, we will provide a pre-paid return label and offer a full refund or a replacement at no cost to you.
6. Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. Due to the unique nature of handcrafted wood/leather, we cannot always guarantee an exact "swap" for a similar item.
7. Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- If approved: Your refund (less the 15% restocking fee and original shipping) will be processed to your original method of payment.
- Timeline: Please allow 5–7 business days for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
